Developing People, Releasing Potential
Developing People, Releasing Potential
Welcome!
I'm an Organisational Development and Learning professional by trade, and have held leadership roles and run programmes of work in many sectors, but am known mainly in higher and medical education.
People tend to find me because someone has pointed in my direction, based on direct experience of my work or leadership.
I'm now retired from mainstream "big roles" and balance late career work I love, with time for people and things that also bring me joy. I specialise in:
medical career coaching and faculty development
career coaching, including career change or outplacement
developing and supporting mentor schemes, providing training
developing early career researchers and PhD supervisors
Please contact me if you would like to find out how I can help you to discover your potential, shape your career journey, support others through mentoring or to grow as a leader and career helper to others.
Developing people
I'm an HR, Learning and Organisational Development professional, with over 40 years cross-sector experience spanning employed, associate and freelance work.
I've worked in private and corporate sectors, third sector, Higher/and Health Education.
I've been responsible at strategic level for programmes of work, leading others through scoping, design, commissioning, delivering and evaluation of skills or curriculum initiatives, with multiple modes of learning.
Through an HR and systems lens, I understand the world of work, the surprises and challenges it throws up and the unexpected opportunities for growth which may be awaiting you.
Releasing Potential
I know how one small change in thinking, or a new decision, can release untapped potential which may be lost or hidden in the demands of the present.
I've encouraged and supported many individuals on their personal career journeys through the changing and dynamic landscape of work/life/career. This can mean navigating through challenges, loss of direction, feeling stuck or restless, or unplanned personal change.
I help to identify strengths, transferable skills, untapped talents and most importantly, a sense of purpose, which will pull you towards future directions and mobilise your career energy.
Through my own varied and sometimes unconventional career path, I've discovered how a whole-life career calls on qualities such as resilience, bounce-back, tenacity, optimism, hope and I'm here to help you dial these qualities up to move your own journey forward.
